I wasn't sure if this camera was going to be a joke or if it would be the camera that was always in my pocket.

It's a bit of both. I think it's actually a really wonderful camera overall. The form factor is basically everything I would dream of for how I use a camera.

I can get good shots out of this camera. I really can, but at the same time I live with the constant disappointment that quality is so many steps below my X100V or a Ricoh GRIII (which is quite similar in size). I think that dissonance keeps me from being able to recommend this camera to anyone.

If this camera was APS-C in this form factor with an X100 style lens, it would be game over.

The software is quirky. The film grain is way over the top, even in its weak states. It's got pretty fun color simulations.

I think the camera excels the most as a mini B/W pocket cam, or maybe a fun party cam. But even then, I still crave the quality of X100 series and I know it's not fair to compare, but it's not THAT much smaller and I want photos that will last the test of time.
